After Halloween - Halloween Party!

Last Saturday night (11/6/10), the United Way of Paulding County partnered with
the Paulding Eagles to host an "After Halloween, Halloween Party". The
event opened at 5 p.m. with a New York strip steak dinner. The Eagles
provided the meal, complete with baked potato, corn, full salad bar, and
soup. Children ate hot dogs and macaroni and cheese dinners for free.
After dinner, there was costume judging, both for adults and children.
Judges were Marcia Griffith, Marilyn Long, and Lynn Chest. In the
adult category, 1st place winner was Sarah Sajuan, receiving a $25 gift
certificate from Stykemain; 2nd was Nedra Mielke, receiving a $20 gift card
from the Maramart; and third was Kim Boatright, who received a $10 gift
card from Chief Supermarket. For the Children, 1st Place went to Nick
McCreery, 2nd to Aniyah Sajuan, and 3rd to Levi Newman. Prizes for the
children were donated by Hanes Lanes, a $10 gift certificate and a free
game of bowling, and Subway, which provided free 6” subs. All businesses
donating were from Paulding.
Rusty Rager of the Paulding Eagles presented UW Campaign Chairman,
George Carter, with a donation check of $2,000.00. Winning the 50/50
raffle of $95.50 was Randy Long. Many wonderful items were received for
the silent auction which helped raise $438.00. A total of $2,533.50 was
donated Saturday night which will go towards allocations to be given to
those in need within Paulding County in the spring of 2011. Larry Colley
of Payne, donated his time to DJ for the dinner music and dancing which
closed out the evening.
It was a fun-filled night for everyone. Be part of improving the health,
education and income of people in Paulding County. Because united we
